After implementation of red light and speed enforcement cameras at select intersections in Honolulu, Public First requested records about the State Department of Transportation’s policies and procedures related to the cameras. HDOT provided the following information. Public First has made follow-up requests.

Before receiving HDOT’s response, Public First also made a similar request to the City Department of Transportation Services to see if it had any responsive records. After ignoring the request for over a month, the City finally responded that it did not have any records. Anyone ignored by an agency should consider contacting OIP for assistance.
