On December 16, 2025, the Office of Information Practices commented on recent reports of individuals disrupting virtual meetings by publishing offensive content to obstruct Sunshine Law proceedings. OIP published guidance (“Secured Remote Meetings”) for government boards to control disruptive behavior. Curious about the frequency and nature of the issue, Public First requested records from OIP, which disclosed readily available e-mails and a phone log of reports.
